I enjoy catch and release fishing for salmon and wild steelhead on the many rivers of the Pacific Northwest in Northern California, Oregon, and Washington.

An excellent guide and good friend with whom I've fished for over 20 years is Noah Hague of Noah's World of Water in Ashland, Oregon.

The picture to the right is of me with a 13 pound wild steelhead trout that I caught in the "Wild and Scenic" section of the Rogue River in Southwestern Oregon, on a four day drift in March.  My good friend Bob McDougall, Noah and myself caught and released over 50 steelhead on that trip and slept in the river lodges that were closed for the season.  The lodges are owned by friends of Noah.  We had to survive with no running water, heat, or electricity.  We had a great time.

Susie and I fished the Kenai River in Alaska in the summer of 1999.  We each caught a 40 pound king salmon!
